Controlling the Destiny Instinct: A Case from My Life
Have you ever felt trapped by the belief that "this is how things have always been, and this is how they will always be"? This is the *destiny instinct*—the idea that circumstances are fixed and unchangeable. But what if I told you that challenging this mindset can completely transform your life?
Let me share a personal story.
I grew up in a conservative, middle-class family. We valued tradition deeply, and change wasn’t always welcomed. Adding to this, I faced challenges of self-doubt and limited opportunities, which made me question my potential. Though I excelled academically, I often felt invisible at home, longing for validation that never came.

For years, I believed that my circumstances were my destiny. That success, confidence, and self-worth belonged to others but not to me. However, I reached a turning point when I realized that - life isn't about the situations you inherit—it's about the ones you create.

I began embracing these principles to control the destiny instinct:
1️⃣ Track gradual improvements. I committed to small, daily actions—developing leadership skills, building executive presence, and pursuing my passions. Over time, these small changes snowballed into major breakthroughs.
2️⃣ Update your knowledge. I immersed myself in learning about leadership, communication, and the evolving dynamics of mindset coaching.
3️⃣ Challenge assumptions. The values I grew up with shaped me, but I realized they didn’t have to define my future. I began crafting my own narrative.

Today, as the founder of Impact of Success Secret Club and Independent Career Growth Academy, I’ve helped countless professionals break through their own destiny instinct to achieve leadership and career success.

Reflection for You:
👉 Are you clinging to the belief that “this is how it’s always been”?
👉 What small changes can you make today that could reshape your destiny over time?

Let’s create a new narrative—together. Because destiny isn’t fixed. It’s a reflection of what we choose to create.
